Planning and consulting services for the hydraulic engineering implementation of the water discharge into the opencast mine

Performance period2023 - today
ProjectAfter the 2021 flood on the Erft, structural adaptation measures were implemented in the area of the opencast mine in Blessem. In a further step, the incoming water is now to be discharged into the opencast mine for an assumed flood event. Two pipes are planned for this purpose. In order to ensure a harmless discharge, a structure is to be provided downstream of the pipelines which, on the one hand, guarantees sufficient energy conversion and, on the other hand, ensures the low-energy introduction or diversion into the opencast mine or opencast lake. For this purpose, hydraulic calculations and planning documents have to be prepared, among other things, and further engineering services have to be provided, which can only result from the progress of the project.
